At SDNeurosurgery and South Bay Neurosurgery, our Summer Internship Program offers aspiring medical professionals an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of neurosurgery. This program allows interns to work closely with our experienced team, participating in both clinical and research activities.

Summer Internship for premed college students with academic credit

There are FOUR spots for SDNeurosurgery and THREE spots for South Bay Neurosurgery for premed college students who obtain academic credits. THIS WILL BE AN UNPAID FULL-TIME POSITION THAT DOES MEAN THE INTERN WILL GET A PAID FULL-TIME POSITION. There will be an application process to determine if the college student will be accepted. This will be a rolling admission and applications and interviews should be done as soon as possible to ensure one gets a spot. 

Summer Internship for premed college students without academic credit

For premed college students who are unable to obtain academic credits for an Internship, there are TWO routes to join our Internship.

1. Apply and be chosen for a paid summer internship. There is only ONE spot each for SDNeurosurgery and South Bay Neurosurgery. 

2. Apply and be accepted to a summer internship position one will have to pay for. There is only ONE spot each for SDNeurosurgery and South Bay Neurosurgery. The cost for this Internship will be $5000 per Intern. There will be an application process to determine if the college student will be accepted. This will be a rolling admission and applications and interviews should be done as soon as possible to ensure one gets a spot. 

Summer Internship for high school seniors

For rising seniors in high school or for seniors who graduated and are heading to college, you can join our SDN/SBNS Summer Internship to get exceptional in-depth experience in medical practice. There will only be TWO spots for these positions at SDNeurosurgery. The cost for this Internship will be $5000 per Intern. There will be an application process to determine if the high school student will be accepted. This will be a rolling admission and applications and interviews should be done as soon as possible to ensure one gets a spot.
