How did you find this Internship and why did you join this Internship?

I found this internship through a friend. I knew I wanted firsthand clinical experience and SDNeurosurgery gave me the opportunity and responsibility that I was looking for.

How did you get academic credit from your school?

I received academic credit from CALS through a class called BIOG 4970 that allowed me to participate in a summer internship but receive credit during the fall semester.  

Now that you are finished with the Internship, what would you tell another person from your school about this Internship?

This internship is high-commitment and will require you to adapt to new and challenging situations every day. However, if you enter the internship with a learning mindset you will leave amazed at how much you’ve grown. This internship has given me invaluable real-world experience to understand the realities of a career in healthcare and the opportunities available to me.
